Constraint Relaxation

Constraint Relaxation is a problem-solving technique that identifies the assumptions and restrictions implicitly or explicitly limiting the solution space, then systematically asks "what if we removed this constraint?" to open previously invisible options. Many constraints that appear fixed are actually assumed fixed — relaxing them reveals solution approaches that never surfaced within the original bounded space.
